Much excitment this morning to see a Thrush Turdus philomelos in the garden, an especially notable event being the weekend of the BTO Great Garden Bird watch.
The regulars are present namely the male and female Blackbird, half a dozen or so Goldfinches, taking their turns to take the Nyger seed.
A solitary Robin picks up specks of fat left in the holed log we put a week ago, any number of Starlings can decend on scraps thrown out.
It’s a wet morning having rained through the night, gently easing off now.
